JAMES NACHTWEY – WITNESS TO OUR TIME
For over four decades, James Nachtwey has documented conflicts and humanitarian crises. This exhibition reveals the dignity, resilience, and humanity that endure amid history’s darkest moments.

JASPER DOEST - MEET BOB
Meet Bob tells the story of a rescued flamingo and the special bond with his caregiver. A moving tale of empathy, conservation, and coexistence between humans and nature.

PIERPAOLO MITTICA – CHERNOBYL: MEMORY OF A DISASTER
Forty years after the disaster, Pierpaolo Mittica explores Chernobyl through stories of memory, resilience, and life inside the exclusion zone, preserving the legacy of a land shaped by catastrophe.

CINZIA CANNERI – WOMEN’S BODIES AS BATTLEFIELDS
Cinzia Canneri documents the stories of Eritrean and Tigrayan women affected by war in the Horn of Africa. A powerful project about violence, dignity, strength, and resilience.

AN ENCOUNTER WITH JAMES NACHTWEY
Friday, October 9, at 9:00 PM James Nachtwey, one of the world’s most influential photojournalists, reflects on his career through iconic images and insights into conflict, humanitarian crises, and resilience, exploring the ethical power of bearing witness and photography’s role in preserving memory.

SIPA TALKS: Where History Meets Emotion
Distinguished photographers and photojournalists will delve into contemporary storytelling techniques, offering insights into their latest photographic endeavors.

PEOPLE SHARING ALL THE WORLD
An engaging collective exhibition at the 'Ex Distilleria Lo Stellino' showcases the winning images from the 'Siena International Photo Awards' and astonishing reportages captured by the world's most prominent photojournalism figures.

ABOVE US ONLY SKY
The Siena Natural History Museum provides an extraordinary backdrop for a stunning exhibition that takes visitors on a breathtaking journey through the wonders of aerial photography.

ALL THE EXHIBITIONS
Alongside the solo exhibitions featuring renowned international photographers, a series of captivating collective exhibitions ('People Sharing All the World,' 'Above Us Only Sky,' and 'I Wonder if You Can') will be showcased.

AWARDS CEREMONY
Saturday, October 10, 2026 at 4.30 PM, the Teatro dei Rinnovati will host the Awards Ceremony of the 'Siena Awards.'
